Hi Jim, First of all, Readiris 12 Pro does not exist: current version is Readiris Pro 11.5! Could you confirm that you are using Readiris 11 or 11.5? Major difference between 11.5 and 11 is that 11.5 is UniversalBinary, while 11 is only PowerPc native.

If you are using 11.5 on Intel platform, (so running on Intel native mode), then you Twain drivers must also be UniversalBinary. If it is not the case (as far as I know, HP and Canon currently develop UniversalBinary drivers, but they are not yet public available), then you have to activate the flag “Rosetta emulation” for Readiris 11.5 in order to tell the OSX to run Readiris in PowerPC mode, so that Readiris will “see” the Twain DS PowerPC.
