A few(?) days ago a discussion about phantoms came up, and I spread some false information about final cut. Final cut is a very clunky skill: Pros: • 60% damage Cons: • you have to charge it • you have to hit a mob to get the buff from it • it forces you to ruin your positioning every 90 seconds, and this can get you killed • you need 50% buff duration for it to be worthwhile Due to these downsides, I was advocating people use reckless hunt: bow. Reckless hunt: bow has 40% damage, and 40 att. Hackrf for windows. Due to the obscene amounts of welfare% damage you get in reboot, I figured that 40% and 60% would be extremely similar due to damage% being additive in most cases. I actually thought that there was a chance the 40 att would be more beneficial due to how easy it is to stack high% damage.

Zakum does still drop all the skill books (also Chaos Zakum but I dont think you wanna spend that long killing it when you can solo zakum in 5 minutes) The drop rate has lowered in the servers, So it WILL take along time to get it, best bet's are to just buy the skill book and save 10 years of farming. Today I was rerolling my inner ability, and much to my dismay I rerolled into 50% buff duration. Knowing this meant I had to at least give final cut a fair shake, I went out and tested it. Final cut appears to be a 60% damage multiplier. Reckless hunt is 40% additive damage.
This means final cut blows reckless hunt out of the water. I apologize for spreading false information.
Most sources of dmg% add with each other to form one multiplier in the damage formula. The net result of this is that additional sources of dmg% add less and less final damage to your skills the more dmg% you have. This is especially profound in Reboot, because everyone has a Reboot skill in their beginner tab that gives +1% damage every 2 levels, meaning at level 200 you've got 100% damage before looking at buffs, gear, or skills. How to open outlook macro. Boss% adds to dmg% in the same spot in the damage formula, meaning it's not hard on Reboot to get up to 300% damage or more, greatly diminishing the benefit from extra dmg%. Let's take this post's subject as an example. Say you're level 200, have 100% damage boost from the reboot skill but no other sources of dmg%, and deal a base 500 damage with every attack (before the reboot skill dmg%). Reckless Hunt: Bow gives 40% damage (ignore the 40 attack for this argument), bringing you up to 140% extra dmg% total, so you'll do: 500 * [1.00 + 1.00 +.40] = 1200 final damage With Final Cut, it's a 60% damage multiplier, so you'll do: 500 * [1.00 + 1.00] * 1.6 = 1600 final damage Does that help?
I understood the basic gist of what was being talked about. I just didn't know anything know about those skills specifically.
I only got my phantom up to 70, since I only needed 10% to hit 100% crit on my main, and my only explorer is my main, a bish. I am a bit surprised to hear that boss damage works that way.
Are people sure about that? Anecdotally, I feel like I get a much higher boost than what is suggested by what you're saying. I guess I'll need to test it. There's a lot I'm not really sure about, mechanically. I'm even having trouble calculating my own damage in my own tests.
